We would like to draw your attention to the next ISREC Symposium on Metastatic Colonization, organized by the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research (ISREC). The focus of this conference will be on the heterotypic tumor micro-environment of metastatic lesions, as well as the prospect for and progress toward therapeutic targeting of metastatic lesions. We will discuss the outgrowth or colonization of micro-metastatic lesions in different organs, focusing on stromal/microenvironmental and cancer cell-intrinsic determinants. The immunobiology of metastatic lesions including novel immune-based therapies for metastases wiIl be another important topic of the meeting. The conference will have lectures from renowned cancer scientists on the latest results and their implications for treatment of metastatic cancer, as well as short talks from proffered abstracts and poster sessions to discuss latest results from junior researchers.
The symposium will take place from 22nd to 25th January, 2014 in Crans-Montana.
