A special edition of the Open Day will be held on 28 September 2024. We cordially invite all those interested in studying at the Second Faculty of Medicine! Through guided tours, demonstrations and workshops, you will get to know what awaits you at the faculty and try out many things for yourself.

  • Transport: To get to the premises we recommend using public transport lines, the nearest tram and bus stop is "Motol". Please consider driving your own car, the number of parking spaces is limited and charged at Second Faculty of Medicine Plzeňská Campus and parking in Prague 5 is only available in parking zones.
  • No prior registration is required to attend the event.

The Second Faculty of Medicine of Charles University has one of the most modern autopsy rooms in the Czech Republic. The tour includes autopsy rooms, a preparation room, an operating theatre with a virtual autopsy table and ultrasound, facilities for teachers and students, and a technical room, which is used for transmission of recordings from autopsy exercises.

The movie Body–Soul–Patient, which features students and teachers of the Second Faculty of Medicine, was directed by Jindřich Andrš. It was produced to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Faculty's independence and presents modern teaching methods that overcome the conventional ideas about the study of medicine.
