Additional Call for Erasmus+ 2020/2021

Additional Call for Erasmus+  2020/2021

The Second Faculty of Medicine announces an additional selection procedure for Erasmus+ stays abroad in the academic year 2020/2021.

Please, submit your applications for Erasmus+ programme by email to the Erasmus Officer, Mrs. Dana Basařová: @email.

The deadline for the Erasmus + additional applications is 19 April 2020.

Opportunities to go abroad are available to both full-time and part-time students of bachelor, master levels and doctoral candidates. Students who meet the qualification criteria set by the Rectorate of the Charles University may apply. A commission, appointed by the Dean of the Faculty, decides on students' nominations. The selection criteria for inclusion in the programme are set by the Faculty Academic Senate and can be found on the Faculty website.

Studying abroad is an integral part of the academic plan at your home university. This means that it should not lead to an extension of the total length of your studies. Study abroad is usually done through the creation of an individual study plan (this, however, is not compulsory).

You can participate in an exchange abroad with Erasmus+ multiple times, either as a student or as a trainee. However, your total time spent abroad may not exceed 12 months during the entire period of studying at the Second Faculty of Medicine.

An application must include:

  • Application for the Erasmus+ study/traineeship. The form can be found HERE.
  • Study plan (explain which subjects will be replaced by the subjects you will take while studying abroad). If you are applying for a traineeship abroad, describe the intended content of your internship. Please, also mention the sources about the foreign university/institution you used while researching required university.
  • Concise Curriculum Vitae (it is helpful to emphasize if you helped Erasmus+ students and if applicable, your practical and research work as a student at the Second Faculty). All extracurricular activities listed must be accompanied by written confirmation.
  • Language certificate (minimum B2 level is required);
  • Copy of your index of your current academic year;
  • It is also necessary to submit an electronic application in the online application of the Charles University at https://is.cuni.cz/webapps/.

You can apply for up to three foreign universities (without preference order). The list of partner faculties with vacancies for Erasmus + stays can be found on the faculty website HERE. Practical traineeship can be also held at another professional institution (i.e. research institute, hospital) which you identify yourself. You need to submit a written consent of your hosting institution as a part of the application.

The dates of your foreign stay, which you enter in the application, are only indicative. Exact dates/term will be confirmed after your nomination.

You can prove your linguistic competence (apart from English) by presenting copy of your leaving exam certificate (e.g. graduation from a German, French, or Spanish) or an equivalent language certificate.
