Shortly: Entrance Examination for International Students

An entrance examination for international students took place on 1st May 2010. Vice-Dean for Education in Clinical Subjects, doc. MUDr. Květa Bláhová, CSc., and Vice-Dean for Residency Programmes, doc. MUDr. Petr Zoban, CSc., they took the trail for Portuguese Porto.

The reason for organizing the entrance exam in Portugal was the increasing interest of Portuguese students in our Faculty. These days, they form approximately a quart of the international students. Such an entrance examination had taken place in Lisbon a year ago, Porto was chosen for this time. The examination has two parts, the written test in biology, physics, chemistry and logical decision, and an interview. The next entrance exams dates for the international students are July 8 and September 15 and they will take place here, at Charles University, 2nd Faculty of Medicine. The total number of students accepted will not be announced before these exams.

Vice-Dean Bláhová told us about the examination in Porto: ‘We both, Petr Zoban and me, had really good feeling about the applicants. They were well prepared. Some of their parents and friends arrived to Porto as well and they wanted to get informed on the Faculty and the student life in Prague (and not only from the printed materials imported).’
