A warm thank you to our faculty scientists who were awarded funding in a Health Research Agency competition at the end of February. Your accomplishments, perseverance, and the quality of your research proposals reflect the high caliber of our faculty, and I appreciate them immensely.
The grant funding will enable neurophysiologists, hemato-oncologists, and immunologists, among others, to carry out vital research projects. The overall success rate in the AZV grant competition is 22 percent, but our faculty scientists and researchers achieved 40 percent with 19 submitted projects. I am particularly pleased with the projects submitted in the "Junior" category, where we succeeded with one project out of four submitted.
Not only have your teams and departments distinguished themselves, but you inspire and motivate the entire Faculty of Medicine. I am convinced that your research will lead to important discoveries, and I look forward to them.
