The final of the unique competition on the Da Vinci surgical simulator, the first of its kind in the Czech Republic, took place on 30 May at the robotic center of the Department of Urology. The winner is Lukáš Vaněk.
The Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical simulator was lent to the Second Faculty of Medicine by the Synektik company. In the past two months, courses under the guidance of lecturers took place in the robotic center of the Department of Urology, and medical students from the Second Faculty of Medicine across all years could test their skills. Medical students from other faculties also showed interest. Approximately 170 participants got acquainted with the methods that already dominate the surgical fields. The eleven most skilled, who performed the prescribed set of operations the fastest, measured their skills in the finals.
