Departmental Focus:
The department is a health and teaching centre providing diagnostic and treatment in all the fields of this medical branch, with special attention paid to these subspecialisations: perinatology, gynaecologic oncology, urogynaecology, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology and reproductive medicine. The approach using mini-invasive techniques is emphasized, and also applied in gynaecologic oncology, urogynaecology and reconstructive surgery of congenital malformations. The department of neonatology provides a highly specialised care to preterm neonates and also takes part in multidisciplinary management of congenital disorders.
