Recognition of completed exams
Article I
Introductory provisions
This provision establishes the conditions for the recognition of previously completed examinations during the course of study at the Second Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Second Faculty of Medicine’).
Article II
Conditions of recognition

Regularly enrolled students may have examinations completed at the Second Faculty of Medicine recognized if:
- No more than the standard period of study has passed since the exam or credit test to be recognized, +2 years (e.g. 8 years for the master’s degree program in General Medicine, 5 years for a bachelor's degree program, and 4 years for a continuing Master's degree)

the subject was not, in the same study program, recognized in the past at the Second Faculty of Medicine.

Exams completed within the same study program and field at other faculties may be recognized if:
- No more than the standard period of study has passed since the exam or credit test to be recognized, +2 years (e.g. 8 years for the master's degree program in General Medicine, 5 years for a bachelor's degree program, and 4 years for a continuing master’s degree)
- the subject was not, in the same study program, recognized in the past at the Second Faculty of Medicine.
- the study hours for the subject and the number of credits earned for the completion of the subject equal at least 90% of the curriculum of the Second of the Faculty of Medicine;

on the exams concerned, the student earned the marks ‘Excellent’ or ‘Very Good’.

The application for recognition of the examinations carried out at the Second Faculty of Medicine is assessed by the vice-Dean for study and academic qualifications. Requests for the recognition of the examinations carried out at another university is assessed by the vice-Dean for study and academic qualifications after receiving approval from the head of the related subject at the Second Faculty of Medicine.

Recognition of internships and course credits is entirely up to the discretion of the supervisor of the relevant subject.
- An application for recognition of a completed exam, internship or course credit for the subject of a given year must be submitted, at the latest, by the end of October of the given academic year. The student must submit a separate application for each requested recognition.
Article III
Final Provisions
- This measure cancels the Dean's Provision No. 7/2014.
- This measure becomes valid on the day it is signed by the Dean and becomes effective on October 1st 2018.
