At its regular meeting on 14 October 2020, the Academic Senate of the Second Faculty of Medicine, in accordance with its Code of Electoral Procedure, Article 1, paragraphs 1 and 2, announces elections to the Academic Senate of the Second Faculty of Medicine of Charles University for the term of office from 1 February 2021 to 31 January 2023.
The Academic Senate set the following election dates:
- The first round will take place for both chambers (pedagogical and student) electronically on 23 and 24 November 2020. The electoral system will be launched on 23 November 2020 at 8.00 am and closed on 24 November 2020 at 10.00 pm.
- The second round will take place for both chambers from 14 to 16 December 2020. The polling stations will be open from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm.
The Academic Senate determined the following places for the second round of elections:
- Motol University Hospital – Dean’s Office premises
- The building of theoretical and preclinical departments on Plzeňská – the area in front of Pelouch’s lecture hall
- Na Bulovce Hospital – Secretariat of the Department of Dermatovenerology, Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and Na Bulovce Hospital
The Academic Senate determined the electoral communities in the student chamber as follows:
- 1st community – 1st and 2nd year class of General Medicine (Czech)
- 2nd community – 3rd year class General Medicine (Czech)
- 3rd community – 4th year class of General Medicine (Czech)
- 4th community – 5th and 6th year class of General Medicine (Czech)
- 5th community – 1st to 6th year class of General Medicine (“foreign students”)
- 6th community – non-medical fields of study
- 7th community – 1st and 2nd year class of doctoral studies
- 8th community – 3rd and higher year class of doctoral studies
The Academic Senate approved the following composition of the Election Commission:

The Academic Senate further determined that the Election Commission shall follow the amended Manual of Elections to the AS of the Second Faculty of Medicine of Charles University (approved at the meeting of the AS on 14 October 2020).
The person responsible for the administrative course of the elections is the secretary of the faculty, Mgr. J. Šmejcká. The academic community will be informed about the course of the election on the faculty website.

- 14 October 2020 – announcement of elections at the regular meeting of the AS, including determination of the date, time and place of elections, approval of the composition of the election commission and division of the student chamber of the AS
- 23–24 November 2020 – first round of elections to the AS
- 14–16 December 2020 – second round of elections to the AS
Other dates are so far only indicative (to be decided by the election commission)
- 25 November 2020 – publication of the results of the first round on the faculty website and addressing of candidates by phone and e-mail
- 29 November 2020 – deadline for sending the consent to the candidacy
- 30 November 2020 – publication of candidates for the second round of elections
- 16 December 2020 – publication of the results of the elections to the AS
- 18 December 2020 – submission of the minutes on the elections to the chairman of the AS
