Department of Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine, Second faculty of Medicicne, Charles University, offers vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis. Vaccination is available at the Vaccination Centre of the Motol University Hospital by appointment.
Tick-borne meningoencephalitis can be complicated and leave permanent consequences. The Czech Republic is one of the endemic areas with the highest incidence of this infection in the world. Vaccination provides effective protection and is suitable for all age groups. It is fully covered by public insurance for people over 50 years of age.
