L'Ecole Normale supérieure organizes, each year, a selection of international participants. This selection is aimed at the most promising third year university students studying either Humanities or the Sciences. This formation lasts three years, and the students are granted a scholarship of 1000 Euro per month. Candidates can also be granted a research scholarship to prepare a thesis. The candidate must be 24 years old or younger and may apply only once for this selection procedure.
Application files and detailed information concerning the international selection process are available on the site www.ens.fr/international, or by writting to the following address: Sélection internationale de l'Ecole normale supérieure, 45 rue d'Ulm, 75230 Paris cedex 05. The candidates whose applications have been accepted are individually invited to Paris in July 2002, where they will take the written tests an interviews with the examination panel. The results of the international examination are made public at the end of July 2002. Intensive French language courses can be arranged if necessary.
The final deadline for returning completed applications is April 25th 2002.
