A postdoctoral position is open to study bacteriome profiles and virome metagenomics under the supervision of Prof. Ondřej Cinek at Charles University in Prague. We invite candidates interested in both wet lab and bioinformatics of the microbiome in primarily non-infectious diseases (type 1 diabetes and celiac disease). The work is carried out in large high-risk cohorts within an international EU-funded project network. The candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree and be skilled in molecular genetics, biology, possess solid programming skills in R or Python, and strong publication track record. Previous experience in bioinformatic processing of next-generation sequencing data is welcome.
The position is full-time, contract until 31 December 2023 with possible prolongation. Expected start in July 2022, negotiable.
