The Miloslav Petrusek Prizes were awarded in a ceremony that took place on 17 November, on Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day and International Students’ Day in the Great Hall of Karolinum. The Prizes are awarded for a positive act that significantly influences the image of Charles University in the public perception. One of the two awarded projects was the project “Medical Students FOR Vaccination”, which draws attention to the current situation in which, due to easy dissemination of false and misleading information on vaccination, the number of people refusing vaccination is on the increase, which leads to a significant decrease in the vaccination coverage of our population and, consequently, to the comeback of serious infections. “Medical Students FOR Vaccination” is a project of medical students of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine supported by the Academic Senate of the Faculty. The Prize was accepted by Aneta Nyčová and Tomáš Jelínek.
