Dear colleagues and students,
I wish to reassure you that the management of the Second Faculty of Medicine is closely monitoring and evaluating the development of the coronavirus infection pandemic. We are following the emergency measures issued by the National Security Council and subsequently by the Rector of the Charles University, and we are doing our best to put them into operation at our faculty. Although the personal presence of students at classes is forbidden, individual consultations and continuation of individual study are not abolished. For any student inquiries, please contact @email.
We will do our utmost to continue teaching through distance and electronic methods, and at the present time distance education has already started in some departments. We are offering consulting and technical support to all workplaces. You may contact Mgr. Dvořáková (224 435 844) if you have questions about distance learning, and you can contact the newly established account @email if you wish to communicate by email.
At the request of Motol University Hospital, we are preparing a list of students who want to actively participate in keeping the hospital running. The first hundred have already signed up and I really appreciate their interest in helping and courage in doing so. Our students will also be available to help at other medical facilities.
As the National Security Council has declared a state of emergency, we are canceling the meeting of the Scientific Council and will keep you informed about further measures. Please follow our emails and our website for the most up-to-date information.
Let us maintain our calm and controlled approach to this situation. I believe that together as a faculty and as a hospital, we can overcome all medical and educational challenges that may come our way.
Thank you for your understanding.
