- Virome and bacteriome in non-infectious diseases, mostly in type 1 diabetes mellitus, coeliac disease and Crohn disease
- Specific molecular detection, quantification and genotyping of infectious agents in studies of immunopathological diseases (type 1 diabetes, coeliac disease)
- Molecular epidemiology of non-infectious diseases (HLA association, immunogenetics)
