Launched in 2021, the programme is a collaboration between MIT, the IOCB Tech Foundation, and the Czech Academy of Sciences. The fund supports cutting-edge research collaborations and helps to deepen partnerships between MIT faculty and researchers and their counterparts at Czech universities and research institutes.

The IOCB Tech Foundation contributes $100,000 annually to the fund, which supports three to five new collaborations each year with up to $25,000 each. These funds can be used for travel and accommodation costs related to project meetings and scientific internships.
