The minute of 1st session of AS CU 2nd FM 15th January 2003

 
The agenda of the academic senate was opened by its chairman doc. MUDr. Petr Zoban, CSc., who welcomed all the members of the senate, mainly the new elected members of the senate and guests of the session prof. MUDr. Josef Koutecký, DrSc., prof. RNDr. Václav Pelouch, CSc., prof. MUDr. Jiří Šnajdauf, DrSc. and Ing. Eva Kuželová.
 
Checking of the Minutes was without any remarks.

 
The Dean of the Faculty prof. MUDr. Josef Koutecký, DrSc. submitted to the senate a proposal for the members of the scientific council of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine for the term of office from 1st February 2003 to 31st January 2006. The academic senate, in the secret ballot (14-7-0), expressed their consent with the proposal.
Doc. MUDr. R. Keil criticized the way of voting and proposed to vote, in the next voting, to elect every member of the scientific council separately.

The Chairman of the academic senate of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine doc. MUDr. Petr Zoban, CSc. delivered a report on the activities of the outgoing senate for the term of office 1st February 2001 to 31st January 2003. The whole report forms an appendix of these Minutes.

 
As the vote counters for the election of the senate board, its Chairman and Vice-chairman were appointed:

In the first round, the senate elected the members of the board for the teachers board and students chamber. Each chamber of the senate (Article 19, par. 3 of the Faculty Statutes) elected two members for the board of the senate:

• Teachers Board:

  doc. MUDr. Jan Starý, DrSc.
   
• Students Chamber:
  Michal Pelíšek
  David Major
   

In the second round, the senate elected the Chairman and Vice-chairman. The Chairman of the senate was elected from the members of the board elected by the teachers board, Vice-chairman of the senate was elected from the board members elected by the students chamber (article 2, par. 3 of the Rule of Procedure and Elections of the academic senate of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine):

The establishment of the working commission of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine was postponed for the next session of the senate. The members of the senate will propose the names of the candidates for the members of these commissions.

1. Assistant lecturer MUDr. Ondřej Hrušák informed the senate about the show of the works published in the relevant databases. This way is extremely demanding for its processing and the output rather of administration character. A proposal to change the show of works published by the Faculty teachers will be on the agenda of the next senate session.
    

• The next session of the senate will take place on Wednesday the 19th February at 2.30 p.m. in the small left lecture room of the Faculty.
• The minutes were sent to the Department of Languages for the translation into English for the web sites of international students on 3rd February 2003.
