Albert Schweitzer Prize for Martina Pařízková
On 19 May, the Second Faculty hosted the nationwide Albert Schweitzer Prize competition, organised by the French Embassy. Dr. Martina Pařízková from the Department of Neurology won second place.
Jitka Palich Fučíková Receives the Award for Women in Science
Dr. Jitka Palich Fučíková (Department of Immunology, Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and Motol University Hospital) deals with the issue of immunogenic cell death and its role in the immunotherapeutic treatment of cancer. For her research, she won the prestigious award For Women in Science, awarded under the L'Oréal-UNESCO project, on June 4th.

Note: The originally scheduled date of 23 May 2018 was canceled for organisational reasons, this year's Dean's Sports Day was moved to 12 April. On Wednesday 16 May 2018, a university Rector's Day is planned.
